Based in Sydney, Australia, the band members have played together on and off for over 10 years in numerous bands.
6 years ago they threw a slick original band Gossip together to play one night at the Harbourside Brasserie.
The performance and recording received rave reviews
and that one gig resulted in requests on Triple J and
various community stations around Sydney for radio
interviews. The waters had been tested and the results were good but
,alas, the time was not right.
The band members diverged, working in various
other bands such as Swoop, Spinifex, Kulcha, and Richard Clapton,
setting up recording and production studios, and
fine tuning their songwriting and other skills so that they could produce
an outstanding musical product.
In the past year the band have brought their talents and ideas together to form "Honeytung".
With their skillful live musical performance and their recently recorded CD they are about to
take the world by storm. Everything is produced independently
by the band. The recording was made in their own studio allowing them

Michael Huddleston
Michael is the bass player in the band. He has
toured Internationally and recorded with various
groups and also plays in the successful Sydney
band Wingspan who are signed to
Warner Brothers.
His roots are in Rock but his love of Funk,Jazz
and good Pop music means his playing is versatile enough
to play all styles of music at a professional level.
His reputation is for being able to hold down a great solid goove.
This along with his original sense of melody gives the band
a solid base to work on. Live, he is a powerhouse and every
performance is a physical and emotional workout.
Michael is the entertainment co-ordinator for the band
having earned his postion through a lifelong study of
how to party hard.

Scott Leimroth
Scott is the other guitar player in the band and
also sings and writes many of the songs.
Having played with Michael since they were 15 his roots are also
in Rock and Funk and the two of them have a sixth sense
when it comes to performance and writing.
He has a passion for music of all styles, being exposed
to Ethnic/World Music during his university studies in music.
His mother is an accomplished classical pianist and his background
and experiences in various bands combine to give him a
unique and varied original style.
Scott is the one behind the bands visual and media presentations.
His interests in affective behaviours,tastes and preferences are combined with
input from the rest of the band to create this website and other public presentations of the band and their music.
Being half German he has a liking for propaganda on all levels.

Paul Verma
Paul plays drums, keyboards and sings as well as writing and arranging much of the bands material.
A well known and accomplished keyboard player he has worked with bands such as Swoop and Kulcha
and been musical director for various other acts.
A natural musician Paul is incredibly versatile. His production and recording skills have
matured to a professional level over the past few years through the recording studio he operates
with Jeremy.
Paul's natural musicianship combined with his
goal of perfection makes Honeytung's live and recorded work uniquely polished.
Pauls Indian heritage makes him a natural choice as
the bands religious advisor and his outlook always lifts the other members to a
higher level on and off the stage.

Megan Lowder
Megans' range of vocal styles and ability make her a valuable asset to the band. Her ability to pitch harmonies adlib with Paul and Scott means the band can work incredibly quickly when songwriting, arranging or recording. Her musical sixth sense also adds to the spontenaity of live performances and her cool presence on on stage helps create the funky vibe.
As Reality Checker for the band Megan is responsible for any reality checks that need to be done, sometimes this is quite often but most of the time things are pretty unreal ;)
