The A.A.R.G is dedicted to the dissemination of information about rebreathers and their construction and use. This site contains information about rebreathers and rebreather diving in Australia. Contact us through this site if you have any information or questions regarding rebreather diving in Australia.

Our quartely journal is also available, containing lots of info about rebreathers the first copy is free and if you would like to recieve it quarterly all we ask is for a few dollars to cover printing and postage.Membership is free so contact us to join. Currently our membership is growing fast as interest in rebreathers is on the increase due to the Atlantis/Dolphin becoming quite popular and a number of other units being available on the market. You need only have an interest in rebreathers to become a member and do not need to own one however most of our members do currently own and dive rebreathers on a regular basis. Rebreather Experience in the A.A.R.G. ranges from beginner level rebreather divers through to those with rebreather experience in deep diving both SC and CC using trimix/ heliair, cave diving, to experienced manufacturers and service technicians.

Membership is open to anyone in Australia, New Zealand or the local Pacific region with an interest in Rebreathers so contact us to join. Membership information is strictly confidential and will not be given out. International subscriptions to our quarterly journal are welcome and we already have a large number of subscribers and contributors from all over the world.

We would also like to build a data base of Rebreather owner/divers for the purpose of linking our members with other people to dive with. If you have a breather and are getting sick of having to buddy up with OC divers who scare all the fish away then contact us through this site so we can get together for a dive.

"The build it yourself approach solves both the
cost and liability problems and probably even more
importantly it acts as a filter to screen out a
lot of self proclaimed expert divers who don't
have the mindset to use this kind of gear without
killing themselves."

Walter Starck 1998
